Who We Are

UTC Industrial supplies automation, drives, motion control and industrial networking equipment to businesses across South Africa — from a single borehole pump to a fully automated multi-pump booster station and manufacturing lines. We're based in Pretoria East, at our warehouse in the N4 Gateway Industrial Park, where every order is picked and packed and every custom panel is built.

We stock established brands rather than unknown imports, we publish full specifications on every listing so you can order with confidence instead of guesswork, and where a standard product isn't the right fit, our Systems Integrator Network designs and builds one that is. Whatever the size of the job, our goal is the same: reliable industrial equipment, backed by people who understand automation and are easy to reach when you need support, a quote, or advice on the right part for your system.

What We Supply

Our core range is variable speed drives — VSDs, also called VFDs — from three manufacturers: Delta, Slanvert and Veichi. Between them we carry over 120 drive models across single-phase 220V and three-phase 380/400V supplies, covering everything from a fractional-kW workshop motor to a 30kW+ industrial load, so most jobs come down to picking the right size and phase rather than settling for whatever's in stock.

For sites that need to keep pumping through load shedding or off-grid, we carry two solar pump inverter ranges: the Slanvert Hope65-SP and Veichi Si21/Si23 series, both built to run a standard pump motor from a solar array (with automatic mains handover where AC power is also connected) rather than requiring a battery bank.

Beyond drives, we stock PLCs and I/O modules — including the Slanvert SH500 series — for projects that need to coordinate more than one device, HMIs so an operator can see and control a system without opening the panel, and servo drives and motors for positioning-sensitive applications. Rounding out the catalogue: industrial panel PCs, electric valve actuators, adjustable lab and industrial power supplies, and a full line of network switches, cabling and networking accessories for the IT side of a plant or site.

Custom Control Panel Building

Not every job fits an off-the-shelf drive. UTC Industrial, with its Systems Integrator Network, designs, builds and commissions custom electrical control panels engineered around your exact pumping or industrial system — borehole and well pump panels, fresh water and booster panels with pressure control and multi-pump interlocking, farm irrigation panels with timer and soil-moisture automation, pool pump panels, and broader industrial applications including compressor control, conveyor systems, mixing panels, HVAC, water treatment controls, generator changeover and motor control centres.

Every panel we build follows the same standard process regardless of application: circuit design and load calculation, a quality enclosure rated for where it will actually be installed, clearly labelled component layout for easier maintenance down the line, motor protection built in, and factory testing before it ever leaves our Pretoria East workshop — so you're not left troubleshooting wiring or configuration issues on-site.

Shipping, Delivery & Collection

Standard orders — VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, actuators, power supplies, panel PCs and networking gear — ship nationwide via The Courier Guy, typically arriving within 3–5 business days to most South African metros and towns, with outlying and rural areas taking a little longer. Large or freight items, including industrial compressors and other palletised or oversized equipment, are quoted individually based on weight, dimensions and delivery location. Prefer to collect?
